Since the world of work is changing rapidly, we too have to be flexible. New technologies require new skills. Try to embrace technological developments and apply them to different areas of your job.

Willingness to learn is a central competence when it comes to keeping up with new and future developments. New skills are constantly being demanded, jobs are disappearing and new requirement profiles are emerging. Be open to moving forward.
Persuasiveness
Managers value employees who can explain why something should be done in a certain way. You should also be able to guide coworkers so that they understand and act accordingly.
Problem-solving skills
New developments also need courage. Courage to find solutions to problems for which there are no possible solutions. Try to develop an «I can do this» mentality.
Initiative
Even personal initiative is something that you want from every employee. It is tedious for superiors when they have to constantly guide employees. Thinking along and getting involved without being asked is required – especially in the working world 4.0, which is characterized by flat structures and a start-up atmosphere.
Perseverance
Perseverance means that you can complete tasks and projects even against resistance. This skill is crucial for functioning teams and companies.
Ability to work in a team
Functioning teams make a significant contribution to the success of a company. Be aware of your strengths and bring them to bear in the team. Supporting each other, demanding support and good communication are important here.
Creativity
Creativity has often been a sought-after top skill of the year. Why creativity? It’s something that sets us apart from artificial intelligence. Developing creative solutions, so far only humans can do that, will probably stay that way for a while. Dare to think creatively and also to present new approaches.
Emotional intelligence
Emotionally intelligent people can perceive their own emotions and the emotions of others, evaluate them and react accordingly. This sensitivity seems to be more and more in demand in today’s working world.
